HRC Training & Professional Development
Training Academy

The HRC Training Academy provides culturally grounded training, professional development, and curriculum development for organizations, behavioral health programs, and community partners. We work collaboratively to create practical learning experiences and program materials that strengthen cultural understanding, support person-centered care, and connect culture and identity with behavioral health, mental health, addiction, and recovery.
At HRC, our Cultural Competency Training helps organizations understand how culture, identity, history, family, community, and lived experience shape behavioral health, substance use, recovery, and treatment. We provide practical, collaborative training that strengthens communication, trust, cultural awareness, and person-centered care.
We also develop programs and curricula for behavioral health, outpatient, educational, and community settings. Our approach connects clinical concepts with culture, identity, history, and real-life experience to make learning about addiction, mental health, behavioral health, and recovery more relevant, accessible, and meaningful.
